IFRJ abre edital para especialização gratuita online em 2027 O Instituto Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) anunciou a abertura de um novo edital para um curso de especialização totalmente gratuito e na modalidade online, com início previsto para 2027. As inscrições deverão ser realizadas através do portal oficial da instituição e são destinadas a todos os interessados que atendam aos requisitos estabelecidos no edital.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ) revealed the opening of 50 vacancies for a free online specialization in Educational Technologies and Distance Education, scheduled to start in 2027.

Course Information

The specialization will have a total workload of 360 hours and will be structured over 18 months, divided into three semesters. Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects, including themes such as instructional design, digital languages, and gamification.

Course Content

In the first semester, students will take the following subjects:

  • Languages, Technologies, and Digital Education (30 hours)
  • Theories of Learning and Scientific-Pedagogical Processes (30 hours)
  • Open Education: OERs and MOOCs (30 hours)
  • Fundamentals of Instructional Design and its Processes (30 hours)
  • Teaching, Tutoring, and Mediation in Distance Education (30 hours)
  • Research Methodology and Academic Writing (30 hours)

The total hours for the first semester reaches 180.

In the second semester, students will study:

  • Planning and Production of Digital Teaching Materials and Hypermedia (30 hours)
  • Cloud Productivity Tools in the Educational Context (30 hours)
  • Gamification and Educational Games as Learning Objects (30 hours)
  • Mobile Learning and Social Networks in Education (30 hours)
  • Topics in Teacher Training in the Digital Culture (30 hours)
  • Project Development (30 hours)

Thus, the second semester also totals 180 hours.

In the third semester, students will finalize their Final Course Project (TCC I).

Classes will take place in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVEA) of IFRJ, and students must have access to a computer with internet and skills with the tools to follow the course.

Registration Process

Participation is open to professionals who have an undergraduate degree recognized by MEC. The complete notice can be consulted on the IFRJ website. Applications will be accepted from August 10 to September 11, 2026, with a participation fee of R$ 20, subject to exemption.
